TFFA has been in conversation with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regarding the issuance of a waiver for the use of Conventional Gasoline in the RFG areas of Houston/Galveston and Dallas/Fort Worth. The TCEQ has pointed to a recent adopted rule change by EPA that makes the Wintertime Blend for Conventional Gasoline compatible for use within the RFG counties in Texas.
The RFG Counties for the Houston area are:
- Brazoria
- Chambers
- Galveston
- Harris
- Fort Bend
- Liberty
- Montgomery
- Waller
Dallas/Fort Worth Area:
- Collin
- Dallas
- Denton
- Tarrant
TFFA recommends members contact their respective refiner/supplier representative to confirm their Wintertime Blend Conventional gasoline will be legal to be used in the Reformulated Gasoline counties listed above.
